Carl Jackson was born in Fort Worth, TX.
on May 2nd, 1973. His parents, Carl and Sarah Jackson met
at a Gospel Concert, both were musicians; Carl a jazz guitarist and Sarah
Jean a pianist. As a child Carl attended a private Christian
school. Carl's love of music began at an early age, inspired by his
mother, Sarah Jean, who was a Gospel singer and uplifted many hearts and
souls through local cable tv and many churches until God called her home.
Sarah Jean lived the life she sang about. Her motto was "A family
who prays together, stays together". The Jackson family began each
day with pray and daily Bible reading. Sarah Jean taught Carl and
little sister, Windy, to pray, sing, and play instruments. Carl's
main instrument was the drums which he began playing in church at the age
of 6, then later piano.

Carl wasn't a typical 9 year old boy
that played with action figures and trucks. He spent his time
walking around with a tape recorder and microphone; interviewing anyone
who would answer. His love for music and behind the scenes tv
production increased with age. Carl produced his first movie at age
19.
Carl Jackson's love of music and film is
evident in his many music videos, movies, and recording artists that he
has worked with. He is dedicated to bringing inspirational music and
film to millions of people. |

.....My
love for gospel music began at an early age. I first saw Bobby Jones
when I was 8 years old. My Mom watched him on cable – we were the
first black people on the block with cable. He was on BET – Jones
was the only black show on tv. doing black gospel music. Later, I
bought records. At 9, I went to his concert. After standing
and waiting outside his bus, he finally came off, and my Mom screamed,
“Bobby Jones”. He started laughing and smiled, and talked to my Mom
for 5-10 minutes….. |
